A VIP Gala the evening of October 4th – Celebrating
the Magic of the Middle Kingdom – will bring together
the AAMA Board, our Members and Friends to celebrate another successful
year in partnering to bridge the economies of the Silicon Valley
and China.
Our evening program will feature presentation of the
prestigous AAMA Founders and AAMA Impact Awards, honoring a select
number of business and community leaders for their exceptional
contribution towards fostering a successful collaboration between
Silicon Valley and Asia. Evening will also include live entertainment
and dinner by award-winning Chefs from the Asian Chefs Association.
AAMA Founders Award
The AAMA Founders Award is named in honor of the original five Founders
of the AAMA: Sandy Chau, Winston Chen, Tom Choy, Joseph Ku and Larry
Lu. In 1979, during the early days of Silicon Valley, these five
entrepreneurs envisioned an organization which would serve to foster
business growth and networking amongst the growing number of Silicon
Valley Asian entrepreneurs and business professionals; one that would
develop into the
largest cross-border business networking platform linking the technology
related businesses in the Valley and the Asia Pacific.
Every year, the AAMA honors an individual who, through his or her
dedicated leadership in the business community and commitment to
help grow other businesses, embodies the very spirit of the AAMA
Founders' vision.
AAMA Impact Award
Since its inception, the AAMA has stood for innovation and
blazing new trails. Recognizing that one of the greatest legacies
of the AAMA has been its ability to provide a collaborative environment
for the open sharing of knowledge and networks to foster broad
innovation, we would like to introduce and present the annual AAMA
Impact Award.
The AAMA Impact Award will be awarded to an individual who has
taken steps to stretch convention, identify and execute on untapped
opportunities, and has established a leadership role in his
or her community.
