AAMA is introducing an exciting new program during this year's Connect Conference - the VC-Entrepreneur Connection, which efficiently matches leading venture capital firms with selected high tech startup companies. Patterned loosely after the "speed dating" concept, investors and entrepreneurs meet each other in a series of private one-on-one meetings. Prior to the conference, the screening committee will match startups with VCs to optimize the potential fit. At the conference, the entrepreneur will deliver a brief version of his/her investor pitch, while the investor will listen, ask questions, and give feedback and referrals. After each meeting, the entrepreneur will move on to the next pre-arranged investor meeting and repeat the process. In addition, the event will also provide opportunities for informal networking and introductions in front of the entire group.

By special arrangement, BizClarity, a firm specializing in venture investment communications, will offer a private workshop and coaching in investor pitch preparation prior to the conference to those companies that sign up early. BizClarity will work with participating entrepreneurs to help articulate their business, craft and tell their story, clarify and focus their pitch, sharpen and perfect their delivery, grab and hold the attention and interest of investors, and compel and move investors to action.
