What does AAMA stand for? Asia America MultiTechnology Association - "Asia America" signifies our organization's focus on the Pacific Rim region of the world. "MultiTechnology" highlights our commitment to all high-tech industries. AAMA seeks to bridge Silicon Valley high-tech enterprises to Asia (and vice versa) by offering an open forum that fosters growth and understanding.
Formerly known as the Asian American Manufacturers Association, our organization decided to change what AAMA stands for to keep up with the evolution of our membership and business trends. How do I know if I am eligible for membership?
AAMA welcomes all professionals who wish to develop their network of Silicon Valley colleagues and who are interested in the Pacific Rim market.
Do I have to be of Asian descent in order to be a member?
No. AAMA is open to individuals of all ethnic backgrounds. Our membership has always reflected this.
How do I become a member?
AAMA offers two types of membership - Individual and Business.
Annual Individual Membership costs $100 per year. If you are a full-time student, AAMA offers a Student Membership for $25 per year. For those who anticipate being involved with AAMA for years to come and don't want to be bothered with renewals, our Lifetime Membership at the one-time rate of $1,000 is the best option.
Business Membership is available at five levels - Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Each level up incurs an incremental annual price increase with member benefits incrementally increasing respectively.
Annual membership rates are based on an ongoing calendar (i.e. if you sign up for membership in June, you will not be up for renewal until the following June). I am interested in partnering with AAMA for co-marketing purposes or interested in proposing an opportunity for a joint event. Who can I contact?
AAMA's strategic alliance program is focused on fostering, building and developing deep relationships that further AAMA's cause. These strategic alliances formed between various community organizations and AAMA are characterized by their commitment to activity (i.e. joint programming, cross-promotion and support). Partnerships with the AAMA are selective and based upon your active commitment to work with us on joint programming and marketing activities throughout the calendar year. These partnership agreements are independent of any financial commitments or sponsorships and will be renegotiated or renewed at the beginning of each calendar year. If you are an organization interested in finding out if partnership with AAMA may be mutually beneficial, please contact Hannah Quan.
I have an event that I think will be potentially beneficial for AAMA members to hear about. Can AAMA promote this event for me?
All events promoted by AAMA (through the website or email) are subject to editorial discretion by AAMA, and are generally benefits restricted to AAMA strategic alliance partners and business members. Please contact the AAMA office if you would like to find out more.
What kind of speakers and topics do AAMA events cover?
AAMA strives to cover a wide variety of topics and include the different perspectives of many speakers. Please note: AAMA does not pay speakers. Our organization also do not endorse sales seminars or events that focus on personal investment, retirement or estate planning.
I am interested in getting more involved with AAMA. Who can I contact to find out more?
