The AAMA CONNECT Conference is the premiere technology and venture capital investment forum, bridging Silicon Valley and the Asia-Pacific region. This annual event brings together a high-powered group of senior-level entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and angel investors from all over Asia and the United States to the epicenter of technology: the Silicon Valley. Join well-known industry experts as we discuss, predict, and debate over salient issues of today's high-tech world. Participants tackle issues such as e-commerce, venture capital investing, network services, top technology trends and growth models. The conference fosters an intimate networking environment and serves as "ground zero" for seasoned entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
"The results were above my expectations. Two new Taiwan VCs contacted us. One angel investor known to me invested as a result of coming to conference and hearing and believing in the Alteon vision and story." Dominic Orr , President and CEO, Alteon WebSystems [Alteon WebSystems underwent a very successful IPO in September 1999 and was acquired by Nortel Networks for U.S. $7.8 billion in 2000.] "XaQti was able to close a total of $9.1 Million in its 2nd round funding, of which, at least $5 million came as a result of my speech during the Investee Day in 98." Henry Wong, Chairman, President and CEO, (XaQti was acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor in 1999).

Timely topics and invigorating discussions on what's hot in the world of business technology prove for an exciting evening and thriving exchange of ideas. Please visit our Event History and Speaker Gallery to view past topics and panelists. "Ming's is a Chinese restaurant in Palo Alto, California known for its delicious dim sum lunches. But on the fourth Tuesday of every month Ming's fills up with Silicon Valley business people who are not particularly interested in dumplings. They come to attend the monthly meeting of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association, a group that brings together a new generation of entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs." Forbes Magazine

AAMA's VC/Entrepreneur Program aims to showcase entrepreneurs to interested investors, while increasing their exposure and shortening their time to capital. The aim of the program is to create innovative forums in which entrepreneurs and VCs have the opportunity to make strong and long-lasting connections designed to help entrepreneurs expand business sources and contacts among the venture capital firms. It is our hope and continued goal that the success of the VC/Entrepreneur Program will lead to a continued acceleration in entrepreneurial activity and new company formation.
Entrepreneur Workshop: This is an interactive half-day seminar that provides participants practical information from seasoned entrepreneurs, knowledgeable investors and legal experts about creating and growing a successful enterprise. Whether they are planning to start a company or just launched one, this event leads participants through the new venture creation and funding process, as seen through the eyes of serial entrepreneurs who have "done it before" and VCs who evaluate companies every day. This event is by application only and is limited to 100 attendees.
VC One-on-One Speed Meetings: AAMA’s One-on-One Speed Meetings offer entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to showcase their company to top venture capitalists. A limited number of pre-selected companies seeking early stage funding have the chance to meet one on one with at least four ventures investors looking for the next big thing. Companies must first submit an application and only 20 companies are selected each year to participate in the meetings. Contact: Hannah Quan, Executive Director (650) 350-1124 |
