The Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), Silicon Valley’s leading business network, today announced the appointment of Michael Zhao as its new president.

(April 21, 2008) – The Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), Silicon Valley’s leading business network, today announced the appointment of Michael Zhao as its new president. Michael will be responsible for guiding the organization’s outreach and programs for high-tech business leaders and entrepreneurs who focus on creating new opportunities in the United States and Asia. Mr. Zhao will replace current president, Kyung Yoon, vice chairman of Heidrick and Struggles. Under Kyung’s leadership, AAMA established a new chapter in Shanghai, started new charter member and executive leadership coaching programs, raised a record number of sponsorships, and grew the AAMA network to over 10,000 members. “I am confident that Michael will continue to build upon AAMA’s success and serve as a key agent for deepening our relationships throughout Asia, as he brings a wealth of business experience and contacts in Asia to the AAMA organization,” said Ms. Yoon. “Michael’s leadership and experience provide the energy and commitment needed to make this another banner year for our organization.” Mr. Zhao has more than 20 years of experience in executive roles at Internet infrastructure and systems integration companies. He is currently the president and CEO of Array Networks, the pioneer in integrated web traffic management and SSL VPN solutions for global enterprises. Considered one of the hottest pre-IPO companies in Silicon Valley, Array Networks was recently ranked No. 4 by Deloitte & Touche on its Silicon Valley Fast 50 list.
