<p>Jonathan&#8217;s diverse background includes managing the China subsidiaries of two Fortune 500 companies: Commercial Metals Company and EchoStar Communications Corporation; co-founding a Silicon Valley-based video search technology company &#8211; MeeVee &#8211; as well as developing strategic marketing and distribution plans, structuring and negotiating financial and commercial transactions, and carrying out due diligence for more than two dozen multinational companies and investment banks.  Jonathan holds a Master&#8217;s degree in East Asian Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Chinese from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.</p>
<p><strong>David Fann, President and CEO, TorreyCove Capital Partners</strong></p>
<p>David manages the day-to-day business activities of TorreyCove Capital Partners, is a member of TorreyCove’s Board of Directors, and Executive and Investment Committees. With 26 years of experience in the private equity industry, David has invested in over 25 leveraged buyout, private equity, and venture capital investments as a lead investor or co-investor, of which ten became publicly traded through successful initial public offerings and a number were acquired by Fortune 500 companies. In addition, he has managed organizations that invested over $15 billion in private equity, distressed debt and venture capital funds, and direct and co-investments. David has served on the board of directors of eleven companies, as a board observer for seven, as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two companies, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Robert H. Toigo Foundation and the Association of Asian American Investment Managers. He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Stanford University.</p>
<p><strong>Dolph Hellman, Partner, Orrick, Herrington &amp; Sutcliffe, LLP (moderator)</strong></p>
<p>Dolph is a partner in Orrick’s San Francisco office and the Co-Chair of the firm’s Private Investment Funds Group and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. Dolph concentrates his practice on private equity investor representation and fund formation as well as representing financial institutions and corporations in privately negotiated debt transactions.<strong></strong></p>
<p>Dolph counsels some of the largest public pension plans in the U.S. and other institutional investors in various U.S. based and international alternative investments as well as sponsors in fund formation.</p>
<p><strong>Heidi Poon, Investment Officer, City of San Jose Retirement Services</strong></p>
<p>Heidi Poon, CFA, CAIA is an Investment Officer at the City of San Jose Retirement Services managing multiple asset classes and strategies for the Police and Fire Department Retirement Plan and the Federated City Employees&#8217; Retirement System. She was previously Vice President and Senior Equity Research Analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners, where she covered stocks in the consumer and communications semiconductor industry, including companies in Greater China. Heidi’s academic background includes a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.</p>
