WELCOMING THE AAMA-GBA DELEGATION
For the past 20 years, the “Greater Bay Area (GBA)” which mainly consists of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, has been the focus of China hi-tech efforts. The GBA boasts a population of 87 million and a GDP of RMB 14.5 trillion [US$2.1 Trillion] in 2024. Many prominent Chinese tech companies are based in that area. AAMA, the leading Asia America technology business association, was founded in the Silicon Valley in 1979. It started its AAMA-GBA Chapter in Hong Kong in 2012. Since then, the two organizations have successfully bridged entrepreneurs and corporations from both regions.
For the upcoming AAMA Semiconductor Forum scheduled on 4/22/26, AAMA-GBA will be sending a delegation from Hong Kong to participant in this event. This delegation will be led by past presidents and board members of AAMA-GBA: Chuck Cheng, Philip Leung, Charles Cheng and Camille Tang. Chuck Cheng, with a semiconductor background, is the founder and CEO of Appotech; the company’s products are used by one in ten people in the world.
“AAMA welcomes our good friends from the Greater Bay Area to the Silicon Valley,” says Nader Fathi (CEO Enil), President of AAMA. “The hi-tech business has always been a global venture – and so is AAMA. Together, let’s learn as much as we can from this conference and meet many friends who will help us succeed”
Come meet the AAMA-GBA delegation at the 4/22/26 AAMA Semiconductor Forum in Palo Alto and together we can learn the latest thinking of Silicon Valley leaders like Dr. David K. Lam (Founder of Lam Research and Multibeam).
